Mission
Our mission focuses on three key areas:
- Prepare graduates to meet 21st-century engineering & technological challenges and improve the well-being of society,
- Create new knowledge in engineering, technology, and computer science and
- Contribute development of high quality human capital, innovation and services that add values to a nation building through services and scholarships.
About the Faculty
The complex challenges of the digital world have led to a large development in the field of engineering & computing. Thus, a wide research and job opportunities emerged in various fields such as civil engineering, computer science, software engineering, fiber optics, nanotechnology, computer networks, the internet of things, social media, cloud computing and more others.
We aim at the Faculty of Engineering & Computing to help students in getting a solid foundation in Engineering & Computing science by offering various programs which are more attractive and interesting.
With a view of making skilled, prominent and upright engineers & computer professionals to serve the future world and nourish the technology, the university formed the Faculty of Engineering & Computing in 2012 to work towards this goal.
It is comprised of three departments: Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Software Engineering. The faculty brings together interdisciplinary research, improving the scope of the student experience and encouraging partnerships between academia and commerce.
Through a collaborative approach, the Faculty offers greater access to resources, knowledge and information and a broader perspective on its subjects, with teaching and research staff working more closely with their colleagues in other disciplines.
The faculty developed a good curriculum that will give students a theoretical & practical skills needed in today’s competitive world of engineering & computing.
Deeply committed to the faculty mission, faculty of engineering & computing members unite their diverse talents to educate students broadly in their specializations.
We are particularly proud of our extensive opportunities for our students in the different departments of our faculty.
Our graduates are strong communicators and effective leaders with the adaptability and entrepreneurial drive to keep pace with evolving engineering & computing technologies and the demands of the marketplace.
Departments
Darul Hikmah University offers faculty of engineering & computing which includes currently three departments:
1) Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
2) Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering
3) Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Objectives
The University intends to offer a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering & computing departments, the faculty programme was designed to:
- Equip students with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for success in engineering & computing current and future employment.
- Equip students with the knowledge required for progression to postgraduate studies in engineering & computing.
- Provide an educational foundation for those wishing to become engineers & computer professionals. The faculty programme will give students a practical skills needed in today’s competitive world of engineering & computing.
- Duration of Study
The duration of the program will be four years divided into eight semesters.
Dean’s Message
Welcome to Darul Hikmah University (DHU), Faculty of Engineering & Computing.
I am delighted and excited to serve as the Dean of the faculty of Engineering & Computing, a successful faculty in the creation of interdisciplinary programs and adapting to the needs of the workforce.
The faculty of Engineering & Computing is a place of innovation and creativity. The faculty members have a high level of academic, research and teaching experience. Moreover, our faculty members are distinguished in interacting with students and guiding them to initiate extracurricular activities.
Currently the faculty of Engineering & Computing provides a well-organized curriculum and high quality education and practical-based undergraduate programs

As well as, the faculty intends to equip students with the knowledge required for progression to postgraduate studies in engineering & Computer Science and provide an educational foundation for those wishing to become engineering & computer science professionals.
